State Fair

This photo essay captures the candid moments of joy, connection, and community that define the South Carolina State Fair each year in Columbia. My goal was to document the atmosphere through an authentic, documentary-style lens. The process presented unique challenges, including weather delays and the ethical responsibility of securing consent from subjects, requiring multiple visits and strong interpersonal communication. Ultimately, this project tested my perseverance and professionalism, both behind the camera and in my approach to photojournalistic storytelling.
